The first round of the HKTag Super League took place Saturday 11 August and the results are in!
Following a T1 Typhoon earlier that day, it was anything but perfect conditions for the first of three weeks of tag rugby’s most eagerly anticipated domestic tournament. Good fortune graced King’s Park, however, and kept the rain at bay for the majority of the matches.
Tag Buffaloos entered the tournament as defending Champions and one of the favourites, but a tough draw sees them placed in Pool A, pitted against HKTag Challenge Plate Winners, Hashtags. The Hashtags dominated both their matches, against Tag Buffaloos and Wolf Pack, to take the lead in the Pool A table coming out of Week 1.
Toy Story currently sit top of the leaderboard in Pool B having beaten Mac n Tries 7-2. But with four more games in Pool B next week, there is still everything to play for.
