HKTag Super League 2018 kicks off this Saturday 11 August! Which team has the drive and commitment to see through to the season Finals?
Tag Buffaloos
Last year’s Super League Grand Champions, the Tag Buffaloos return this year as the side to beat. Once again led by the inspiring Laura Fernández, Tag Buffaloos present a top-flight squad comprising many of the same faces as last year, with some impressive new recruits.
One of the original and founding clubs of HKTag, the Tag Buffaloos have entered every competition and this year narrowly lost out in a place in the Cup final of the Redsip HKTag Challenge. With some top talent in their midst, how will they play out across the three weeks?
Wan Chai Warriors
This year’s Super League squad is arguably Wan Chai Warrior’s strongest side yet. Following a summer of strong recruitment after the scorching Redsip HKTag Challenge (where they took home the Bowl), Wan Chai Warriors boast a mixed team of seasoned and social players.
Initially the first and only Rugby League club in Hong Kong who are not Union affiliated, Wan Chai Warriors have turned into a HKTag mainstay team with consistent performances and regular social sessions.
Hashtags
The Hashtags are back again for this year’s HKTag Super League! This young team consists of American International School’s Grade 8-12 students and their “over the hill” PE teacher. With the majority of last year’s team heading to university, the Hashtags have recruited new players who continue to bring the team’s known speed and energy to the pitch.
Playing in last year’s HKTag Super League and the RedSip HKTag Challenge, the Hashtags have gained experience and are ready to compete at King’s Park!

*Still to come!*
