There was a record turnout this weekend to the third Hong Kong National Team trials for the 2018 Tag World Cup.
On Sunday 22 July, around 30 Hong Kong eligible players joined the trials – led by Assistant Coach Ringo Lung – ahead of selection for the upcoming 2018 Tag World Cup. Potential players took part in a series of drills followed by several simulated matches.
The next (and final) trials will take place on Wednesday 8 August and the location will be announced shortly on the HKTag website and social media.
Tag for All
Sunday’s trials were accompanied by yet another record turnout for the HKTag social Tag for All sessions, which saw six mixed teams rotate on and off the pitch, getting some much required game time ahead of the HKTag Super League starting 11 August. There was equally high attendance from both our male and female players – ensuring fair seven-a-side teams – which is testament to the inclusive nature of tag rugby as a sport in Hong Kong.
