HKTag are delighted to welcome the first confirmed entry of the HKTag Challenge 2017 and runner’s up of last year’s competition, the T8 Unicorns. Looking to go one better this year, they boast plenty of Tag experience having a large number of the squad also competing in the HKTag Battle of the Hemispheres as well as the ICG Tag Super League.
Co-captained this year by Jane Cheng and Ian Kerr, the team is born from the T8 Touch Football Club and have seen plenty of domestic and international competition success for the club, in particular the Women´s team, who won the Shanghai SITT2016 Cup and Plate champs in the Hong Kong Summer League, with the Mixed and Men´s team following closely behind with a number of Cup and Plate titles and runner’s up positions and impressively qualifying for the ANZ International Touch Championships 2016. Undoubtedly they will be looking to carry across that competition pedigree into this year’s Tag tournament. The club also have a history of championing women’s participation in sport and will be hosting the second edition of the HK All Women Touch Tournament (#EleganceHK2017) this year in May.
HKTag Challenge 2017 will be taking place at King’s Park, April 22nd. Players, volunteers or sponsors interested in participating are welcome to message us directly on Facebook or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
